I called my sons over the other morning and told them that the shadowy image in the background of this picture looked like an alien spaceship landing on Massachusetts Street.
My son Isaac looked at the picture and then turned over the section of the newspaper that had been nestled on top of this one. He said that my “alien ship” looked a lot like a two-liter Pepsi bottle from a grocery ad on the back page of that previous section. The newspaper had been in the snow, he surmised, and the image of the bottle had bled onto the picture of downtown Lawrence.
“Well, yes, there is that,” I said, “but isn’t it exciting to think about the possibility of aliens landing on Mass. Street?”
“You’ve been watching too much Torchwood, Dad,” he said.
Is that possible?
