Going where no graphic has gone before


In this stellar graphic, The New York Times shows us how the health care debate has taken on the form of an alien galaxy.

When the orbits of the Unhealthy, Obese Adults and Age 65+ overlap, they create a gray mass that resembles the insignia of the Starship Enterprise.

All of this takes place within the broader orbit of None of the Above, which one could easily mistake for a White Hole if not for the arrow reminding us that this is the Total Shaded Area galaxy.
